In 1215, the Magna Carta established a revolutionary principle: no one, not even a king, is above the law. Eight centuries later, its legacy shapes modern democracy, human rights, and accountable governance around the world. With this enduring relevance in mind, The Presidential Precinct—a consortium of two of America’s oldest universities and three historic presidential sites—approached Chaski to help commemorate the Magna Carta’s 800th anniversary by organizing a global forum in Washington, D.C., with the Prince of Wales as guest of honor.
In partnership with the Presidential Precinct and its consortium partners, we curated and produced the forum in the National Archives Building. We coordinated with Buckingham Palace to ensure a seamless and safe experience for the Prince of Wales, and with the Precinct and U.S. Department of State representatives to bring young leaders from 20 nations to the forum. Our team managed all aspects of curation, production, design, logistics, scheduling, vendor coordination, and royal protocol, working in close collaboration with the UK Embassy, the National Archives, and the Secret Service.
The Magna Carta forum raised global awareness of the rule of law’s role in governance, economic growth, and social equity. It united young leaders and dignitaries from 20 nations, fostering meaningful dialogue on key issues like gender equality and climate resilience. The hybrid format expanded reach, amplifying engagement worldwide and strengthening diplomatic ties.
